Looking for help on how to extend a countertop over appliances (dish washer, compactor) in a run of cabinets. There must be a way to do a seemless countertop.
I used the method (mentioned in earlier posts) of inserting a similar sized cabinet and then turning off collision control to place the dishwasher under the cabinet top, but this can't be the best way to do this.
Thanks for any help
You can use the Counter Top option of course and just sit the appliances underneath but since most of the appliances are 'built in' with just the front sticking out, that usually is all I do - simply move the appliance into the cabinet and leave the front sticking out a fraction. If you size the cabinet first so it matches the width etc of the appliance it should look perfect. If you just insert under a Countertop you have the problem of filling in around the appliance.
If you are just worried about the countertops all being separate on each cabinet, the you could just turn off the countertop on each cabinet and insert one continuous Countertop over the all the cabinets. You can also use a piece of floor to make a countertop instead of using the one provided and it can then be any shape also if that is appropriate.
