Question for Jack mostly,
Went on to IMSIdesign.com to check out roof training videos, they look perfect! But. . . the links are backwards, click on basic get advanced and vice versa. Site was soing the same thing with TFP Pro vs Deluxe a while back.
One question, basic looks like it has everything I would need but does either cover a plain clerestory? I can fake one but the walls get gibbled.

To be honest, I'd buy the full set from my website. The reason for that is they cost $40 / ( IMSI split them and one set costs $30). While the concept of Basic may appear to be what you need, in reality, the videos feed off one another so going through the first 10 - 14 videos teaches you things that are needed in the final set of videos.
But most important is what looks like a fairly simple roof , may have elements that are addressed in the later videos and you'll end up not being well prepared to complete the roof.
It does appear IMSI has the roofs listed backwards. In thier listed Basic,
EDIT It seems IMSI is listing the videos as Advanced Roof Training but in two parts. They should maybe flip the two listed so Part 1 comes first, but they are correctly listing them as Advanced when compared to what is available in HELP .
I think you'd be happier spending $10 more and getting all in one download from my website. I would be happy too :-)

At 3D House Designs you just click Training Videos. I have to figure out how to work with my websites, lost my web designer.
I wish that Roof Videos was listed rather than part of the 'tab link'. But I'm afraid to try and change things as I tend to break stuff.
I have pdf there listing what is contained in the videos and samples on You Tube.

Have now bought, downloaded and watched the videos. Everything worked fine. Will need to go over a few chapters again, so I know it will be handy to have them.
One easy change you could make would be to include the Startup Guide pdf in the zip file and rename it "readme". Normally when I download an executable of any kind I don't go back to the web site after, unless there is a problem. This way the instructions would be with the videos if someone went to watch them months later. Alternatively you could rename the .html to something distinctive like "Launcher".
For future, or more advanced versions I wouldn't mind seeing some more examples using roof surfaces. Tried a 4-gabled roof that way, and it worked, but took longer than it would if I really knew how it worked.
Overall, great! I learned why some things do / don't work and picked up a lot of neat tricks.

Just a note to those considering getting Jack's training videos; I suggest you get them directly from Jack, rather than buying them through the IMSI site. Jack's video are very helpful and complete. Using his roof video I was able to complete a fairly complex double sloped roof on a house I was doing. I know I could not have done it without Jack's info.
I first bought the video through IMSI and found that the file was not complete and my emails to IMSI have never been answered.
Jack sent me the full file which worked perfectly and covered more ground than the IMSI version would have if it had been complete.
I am not writing this to slam IMSI in any way, just to say that in this case it is better to go straight to the source if you need these training videos (and, let's admit it, all of us Newbies need them :) )
Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
