When i create a dormer and then try to insert a window in the gable end of the dormer to allow light into the second floor the program will not allow it.

Works fine for me.

Do you have the "Commander" on and are you setting the Head Height to an appropriate value during insertion?

I do not have commander on, but I am running the trial version (have not received my disk for the full install) and just wondering if that is the problem.  I have tried many times with different functions on and off but nothing.

The commander is available on the "Workspace" page of the "Program Settings"
