Title: Sounds on the Tutor videos
Post by: Tony Weddle on February 16, 2013, 08:57:02 PM
Just bought TurboFLOORPLAN Pro V16, after a gap of several years since using a prior release of FloorPlan 3D. It's taking awhile to get used to it but seems much better at allowing customisations of most elements.

Anyway, I searched for posts on my question but couldn't find anything, which I was quite surprised at. Whenever I insert something, the Tutor comes up (I know this can be turned off) which is quite useful but the sounds in the video are a bit annoying (the supposed clicks of a mouse). Is there any way to turn off the sounds on the Tutor? I'm guessing that there must be but I've missed it. If not, is there any way to stop/pause the video? There is a Stop button on the Tutor but it seems to have no effect.

Hi Tony,

Welcome to TurboFloorPlan and the forum.

Yes TFP is much more flexible than FP3D and I am sure once you become familiar with it, that you will find it is and incredible program - especially for the price. Keep double-clicking and right-clicking and you will be amazed at how very deep you can go and how customisable it is.

However, good as it is, the Tutor does seem to have both of the problems you mentioned.  The Stop doesn't (!) and there is no 'Sound Off' option.  ::)  I will pass those points on to the developers. The only solution is the turning the computer sound down. I usually have it set so that it just hearable, so if I do use the Tutor it is not objectionable.

Have fun with TFP!!  ;)

Thanks, Allan.

Shame about the tutor sounds and video stop. Seems quite an oversight but now I know it's a "feature" I'll have to figure out a way to live with it, such as your suggestion.
