how do you split a terrain, if you have a retaining wall so it would so on one side of the wall the terrain would be 5 feet higher that the low side of the wall. i can't figure out how to show the retaining wall to show it holding back the high side

Search other parts of the E forum for other tips on terrain and other features.....but of course some things in E do not work in TFP

i can see how that works it looks like in using tfp that you need to do as you would out in the field. start with a lot, shape the lot how you want it, and then start your drawing. instead of drawing and then trying to make the terrain conform to your drawing. thanks
The TFP terrain tools work pretty good if you select the right tool and understand how it works (they all add to each other, you must plan ahead)
I got used to using the FP11 terrain tools and TFP is very different. I also had some previous work in FP that I needed to continue.
So here are two other alternatives if TFP tools don't do what you want.....
- import a FP10/11 terrain, see: http://forum.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,248.0.html
- create a .3ds or other 3D model of the terrain you want and import it....especially good if your 3D modeller smooths the terrain and that is the effect you want or your 3D modeller is CAD like and measures the size/shape accurately and/or imports surveyor data.
- Search this forum and the Envisioneer forum for tips from others who posted terrain info.
