Anyone know how to create frameless glass shower walls around a shower or tub? I'd like to be able to show just raw glass with no frame around it, just maybe a couple of hinges and a handle on the glass shower door, and for a section that is just fixed glass, just a couple small brackets that hold the glass to the wall. I tried using windows and deselecting all the frame elements, but was not able to get down to pure glass. I am a relative rookie with this program, so maybe someone has done this before. A heart felt "pre - thanks" to the "master po" who can guide me. Grass hopper awaits your reply.....
I have not done this before either but you should be able to use a wall and door using glass and transparent as the materials. Set wall height to whatever it is to be (and the door) and very thin, set the surfaces to transparent texture and delete the trim and baseboards etc. Add a new door and set it and the frames very thin (1 mm or fraction of an inch) and set them to transparent also. Set the door glass to glass (obviously) and you should be left with a glass door in with a 1 mm transparent border around it. Depending what else you have in the bathroom you may find it easier to do this one a separate location to avoid collisions and avoid the wall cutting holes in the ceiling etc.

I decided to try out the suggestion and it seemed to work. When setting the surfaces to transparent go to Glass and Mirrors materails and create a new one called Transparent and set the option to Transparent Full, otherwise if you use that colour or texture for anything else it will be transparent also! Don't forget to set all parts of the frames etc to Transparent (even the edges). In the image I used a sliding glass door but the principle would work the same for any door. I did this one on the same location but there are no other furnishings of course.

One more example; I made one glasswall 15 mm thick I used windowglass to all appearance for the wall.
For the door I set the leaf to 10 mm and Frame: depth to 15 mm width to 10 mm, Sash depth to 10 mm and the rest to 1 mm.
Appearance for the door: I set the door leaf and glass to windowglass and swing is black and the rest to common glass. I set 3d opening swing to 35 deg.
The blue light make the glass appearance slight blue and the shadow inside the shower room com from the light int the other room.

You can then find small objects or generic cube (to size), or shrink an object or find a bracket or hinge or handle from the web, texture/color/material etc to brass or chrome or what you desire...and place on the glass edge....turn collision detection off to show thru both sides.
