Title: Want mirror image of whole house plan
Post by: celes on June 04, 2013, 01:10:20 AM
I have designed a house that will be part of a semi-detached apartment. Each looks the same but is a mirror image of the other.
I have 4 such plans that I need the mirror of the plans.
How do I do that?

Hi and welcome to the forum!  :D

If you select everything on the plan (Ctrl + A or File/ Select All or just click and drag the mouse over the whole drawing, upper left to lower right) and then right click, you will find the Mirror option.

If you are using multiple Locations (Basement, Ground and Second Floors) and want to Mirror everything, then go first to Settings / Program Settings / Drawing Aids and un-tick the box "Select elements on current location only while in plan view". Now when you Select All, it will select all walls and objects on all locations at once. Don't forget to tick this box again after you have does the Mirror or you will find allsorts ofthings being selected an moved accidentally.

Hi Alan,
I did that now but then after that I went to select all and although I was able to do that, I then right clicked and the only options that came up where: Deselect all, delete, move, duplicate.
There was no MIRROR option.
I am running out of time - want to have plans ready by Friday.
I am using Turbo Floor Plan 3D v 16.
Cheers

Sorry I am working blind at the moment as I am away from home so guessing a little:

You definitely have V16 not V15 and it is Pro not Deluxe?
Try turning off the Terrain in View Filter - it will not mirror.
Turn off Collision on Status bar.

Let me know how that goes.

With Terrain turned ON, you should still get the option to Mirror when you Select All but the Terrain will not Mirror.

But if you have Cameras ON or Sections ON you will not see the Mirror option. Make sure they are turned OFF in the lower View Control bar. They are located in the Icon to the immediate right of the View Filter.

If you are still having problems , email me and we can see about going online to take a look.
