Well......I got version 16 of TFP installed. But, I'm having a problem with it crashing once in a while. It happens when I add furniture.....or re-arrange the furniture. I get the Blue Screen, saying its sending the data to the Memory Dump. Could it be I have to adjust the screen resolution ? Recently, I switched over to Windows 7 Professional / 32-bit.

I noticed that TFP can't IMPORT .skp files correctly. The most recent ones that I've created with Sketchup version 8 are imported in the color black. When the original "object" is in color. Sorry about the questions. I'm trying to get past the "hiccups" with the newer version of TFP.

If you can see the windows and tabs etc. OK when you operate TFP16, then it is not likely to be a screen res. problem.
But could be a H/W acceleration problem with video driver. Does crash stop when H/W acc. = off? Do you have a newer ver. of video driver? Is vid card a separate or built-in?
Is the furniture all from TFP catalog or did you import objects? Imported objects could be bad or too large? Do you have sufficient RAM? Other programs have any similar issues? Are all other programs off?

TFP will import good .skp files OK ....IF the .skp was saved as a compatible version. I don't remember exactly which version is OK....try search on this forum as this was listed/answered earlier.
But I think the newest ver. .skp (8) is not compatible.
If you have SU, open the .skp file and save-as/export as ver. 6 or 7. Or when you download any .skp files, they usually have an older (before 8) available.
Most all programs that are newer will not export native type files in newest ver. that work in any older program. Only std/ubiquitous file formats like .jpg are backwards compatible.

Thanks for your reply. I didn't think to check the H/W Acceleration. As for my System, I'm going to set the "switch" in System Properties to "not automatically restart". That way I can get a shot of the Blue Screen. And record all the information. I DID notice, on one occasion, that...when I imported a .skp file, even though it was "black", I was able to (from within object properties) restore the colors to it. The other option, which I dread, is to "re-install " Windows 7 Pro, but look into doing a "Clean install" this time. Last time, I was running Windows XP Pro, and then did the install of Windows 7. I forget the title of the procedure, but it wasn't a "Clean Install". It left a file called "windows.old" on the hard drive. I'm just thinking in terms of an unstable OS. I'll let you know further.
