Is it possible to change the settings for all the kitchen units at one time, or do they have to be changed individually?
eg I have a kitchen design and want to change the colour of the tops, the position and colour of door handles, the the toe space height, door colour,
Phil
Hi Phil,
Yes you can change several at once, or even all, if they are the same type. Easiest way to do it is to select one, right click and choose Selct All Similar. All the cabinets that are the same will be highlighted and if you right click you can choose Properties and change want you want on all the cabinets selected. Repeat the process for any that where not selected the first time.
You can also right click in the catalogue and select Elements Manager. Here you can Shift/Select several cabinets and change some settings for all those selected whether they are used in the model or not. Any options that are greyed out are not changeable.

Hello Alan,
I have tried both methods you suggested and the select all similar works but out of the 22 units in the kitchen only 2 floor units are exactly similar (if a similar unit has been modified by 20mm to make a neat fit, is is not selected as a similar unit) and 3 overheads, so I have to adjust colours and handles etc of the other 16 units individually.
The catalog system bulk change dosn't seem to allow shift/select of multiple items in my version,
my version is Turbo Floor Plan 3D home and landscape Pro version 14, so am guessing it does not have that capacity
Thanks Phil
Hi Phil,
It seems unusual that you would have so many different sized cabinets. Usually all would be identical so they match each other as if they were a continuous unit and only maybe the end ones would be a different size to butt up against a wall. It must be an unusual design. Why are so many cabinets different sizes? Did they have to fit in around a lot of nib walls or something like that? Unfortunately it will have to be done one by one if the sizes are different or even change one in the catalogue and insert them again - that might be quicker.
I can't remember now whether V14 had multiple edit in the catalogue, I don't think it did. It would not help anyway now, as changing it there would not change the ones already inserted into the model.

Thanks Allan,
Partly engaged piers/columns on one wall we are constructing around (3 and they are different sizes), then the learning curve of the program, combined with my just make it work quick at the moment hasn't helped, the community group i am a part of and assisting wants some design concepts at this stage, I have given 4 designs for consideration, when a consensuses of design is achieved I will be sure to use units of matching size to balance the look and make it easier to modify the colours etc

Hi Phil,
I take your comments to mean that the 3 columns intrude into the cabinets. If that is the case, when you come to redo it, you could just place the cabinets side by side in the middle of the room, then turn off Collision, select all of the cabinets at once (click and drag the mouse over them) and right click Move them up against the flat part of the wall. They will just go through the columns making a perfect 'fit'.
Obviously you need to change all the settings of the cabinet in catalogue before you insert them.
