Title: 2d Export
Post by: BundyBoy on June 26, 2013, 07:00:54 AM
If you have modeled a two storey home and wish to export the plans,
how do you stop TFP exporting both floors at the same time or over the
top of one another?

Hi Shayne,

All you need to do is turn off the floors that you do not want to print using the View Filter. Just tick the box on the upper right (above the list of floor Locations). Select the floor you want to print and choose Display All and on the other floors choose Display None.

Another option is to go into Settings / Workspace and change the Dimming %. If drimmed 100% only the floor you have chosen on the screen will be displayed on the screen and that is what will print.

Hi Shayne,

Not sure if you need to print or to export to CAD, but just in case, you can also use the filters (as Alan stated) to select the levels and / or elements and export your plans to DXF

If you are exporting 2d DXF files to print construction plans I highly recommend Jack Zimmer's tutorial file on this procedure.  They are extremely useful in teaching how to export and print plans to scale via TurboCad.  They include the TurboCad template as well.  Very useful.
