I know this is not probably the correct forum for this question but I will go ahead.
I have downloaded a trial version of Pro Architect, the next software package up
from TurboFloorPlan. I thought being the same software company the model should read
straight in, but it doesn't and keeps crashing. I have also downloaded a trial version of Envisioneer
v9 and that has no problems reading the model. In Envisioneer I did a backwards save
to v7.2 and then tried to open it in Pro Architect with no success.
The reason for trialing ProArchitect and Envisioneer is for the automatic 2D production of
drawings. I could export into another software package but would prefer to use the Cadsoft
system.
Is there any obvious reason why it should not work?

Hi Shayne,
I think ProArchitect was released around the time TFPV16 was released so could be a marginally earlier version (the version point number may confirm that). If it was earlier this would explain why it would not open it. Envisioneer 7.2 however is definitely later, as TFPV16 equates with Envisioneer 7. The two updates to Env7 related only to the worksheets, so TFP was not updated. Likewise ProArchitect would probably be earlier than Env7.2 also, so it would not open the Envisioneer output either. Unfortunately you cannot backsave to Env7. Envisioneer Professional also does the worksheets but is twice the price of ProArchitect (though it does more in other areas of course).
