Title: lengthen a curved wall
Post by: rlk on December 29, 2007, 11:39:10 AM
i can not find a way to lengthen a curved wall.  Once you make a wall curved you can not make it longer, you can make the curve smaller or larger but can not lengthen the wall itself.  if someone knows a work around i would appreciate to know how.
thanks

You should be able to just drag the ends and it will go longer although it will keep the same radius. You can just drag this back in again if that is what you need to do.  I had no issue with this it. The curved wall could be moved in any direction with no problem.  What exactly is the problem you are experiencing?  Maybe I have misunderstood what you are trying to do.

EDIT.  I have just realised - I presume you have an end and want to make the curve a more complete circle. Try clicking curve again - I experimented a little but while you can then make a complete circle it deleted the original curve. You may have to make a full circle and use the right click Break to divide the wall and delete the bit you don't want.

I'm not able to break the wall once it is curved nor able to grab the ends and lengthen them.  they will move sideways but not increase the length.  you are right about the curve tool to change the length and then i was able to just move the wall back into place
thanks

The wall "Break" is on the right click menu.

ITS ON THE RIGHT BUT IT WILL NOT BREAK THE WALL ONCE IT IS CURVED.  DONT KNOW IF ITS SOMETHING IM DOING OR IS IN THE PROGRAM

Definitely works for me. Once you select break you just click back on the curve and it inserts a break. Only thing I can suggest is the usual one about turning off Hardware Acceleration - if you haven't already.
