Title: Printing Dimentions
Post by: David Brown on October 30, 2013, 07:55:51 AM
Hi I am new ish on this FP, I am struggling to print dimentions of my plan, in the very old versions of FP you simply had a check box when you wanted to print out the dimentions of a room say, I cannot find any options now. I am using TFP 14.00C 624.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

david

Hi David,

Welcome to the forum!

Are you talking about the dimensions around the outside of the building or things like the room area, perimeter, cubic capacity etc printing in the centre of the room ? Also are you talking about literally printing on paper or displaying them on the plan? I just wanted to clarify that first because plans with dimensions or room area etc that are visible on the screen, will automatically print on paper. They is no tick box to say do do so or not.

Hi Allan, sorry its taken so long to reply, I am only now doing another project.

I would like to print the room dimensions, wall length, distance window/door to the corner etc. I would like to be able to see them on the screen as well as print them onto the drawing. On the old version you could automatically do that as well as manually insert a dimension.

Thanks for coming back I will check a little sooner for a reply this time.

Cheers

David

Hi David,

You can insert dimensions (auto and manual) at Tools / Dimensions (see image).
How the settings will look can be changed, if necessary, in Settings / Dimension Settings.

Whatever dimensions you display on the screen will print.

Hope that answers you question.
