Title: Object Size
Post by: garystan on December 31, 2013, 03:41:34 PM

Hi everybody :

When I create a custom object,  how do I know that it's not too complex for TFP V16 ?  A couple of times, when I went to import an SU 8 object, I got the error referring to  "some parts were omitted".  More-than-likely referring to the complexity of the object.  Is it the number of  "faces" in the object ?  Or too many  "parts" in the  created component object ?   I didn't think about asking this question until now.

                                                                                                                        garystan

Hi Garystan,

If the object has too many parts then it will also have too many faces and that is the problem. Some will.just be dropped.

   Allan :

Thanks.   That makes is clear.   I never thought of  "too many parts"  A good number of times, when I create an object,  I use the  "Component"  function in SU 8.   That way I can  "adjust" the individual parts that make up the object.
