Title: Construction drawings
Post by: raykos on April 24, 2014, 07:10:22 AM
It's been a while since I last used TurboFloorPlan, I have v16.  Can anyone direct me to a tutorial on how to create construction drawings using V16? I'd like to make an addition to my house and have to get a building permit, hence the need for construction drawings.

Thanks,
Ray

Hi Ray,

Technically TFP is designed as a 3D visualisation program, so does not have the specialised tools to do construction drawings as such but it can be done. Essentially you can print whatever you display on the screen, so plans, elevations and section views are easily produced. Where the problem arises, is trying to put two or three elevations on one piece of paper. Since you can only display one elevation at a time, you can only print one at a time also - however there is a way to get around this.

If you go to http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,877.0.html (http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,877.0.html), you will find a PDF tutorial showing how to do it.  If you have any further questions about the process just ask.
