Hi Forum,
I wanted to share what I experience during creating my latest project: ::)
Interior Display Shelves "3D DOES & DON'TS"
1- "DOES"
This project I created ALL the 3D Objects:
Shelves, Trusses, Fabric roll rack, with TFP v16, Catalog Furniture.
3-Free furniture ONLY "downloads"*,etc.
If not using "Auto Saving" save "OFTEN" and re-name project after progress points!!! :-[ , :'( , :-X , :'( , ;).
In this set you will notice reflections on the trusses and Fabric roll rack.
I learn the reason was do to the imported 3D objects imported materials.
Solution was to make sure to use the material from the TFP catalog, upload the material to the catalog and re cover with the ORIGINAL Materials NOT the imported with the 3D object.
2- "DON'TS"
* Beware of FREE 3D OBJECTS DOWNLOADS !!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( :P >:( >:( ;) ...
Robert
This are the improved renderings!! ;)
Do to the amount of 3D Objects I encounted crashes, etc .
All caused by free 3D furnitures, and 3D objects size( had to simplify to 25% to reduce size).
After all the storms I'm Happy with the results!!!!!! ;D ;D :) :) ;)
P.S. Richard Stavro from IMSI TECH, I accept the apology and Thank You for the reply Link ;) ;) 8) 8)
I also apologize :-[ :-[ :-[ Hope this explains my situation at the TIME !!!! :-[ :-[ :-[ :) ;)
Robert ;)
Hi Robert,
Well it looks as though all the effort was worth it as the renders have come out very well indeed!!
Importing lots of 3D objects can certainly cause crashes as you found. Some objects available online are really huge and will really bog things down. It try to do everything within the program to avoid that problem. What did you make your objects with? Looking closely at your model, it looks as though most of it could probably be done just using Columns and Members. The corners of the shelves may be the only thing that would be more difficult as they appear tapered, although TFP will do tapered columns also, so it should still be possible.
The simplifying of the imported objects seems to have been fairly successful. I have seems some imports almost disintegrate when simplified too much. :(
Congratulations - excellent work! :D

Hi Allan,
Thank you! ;)
You're correctly 8) ;) in all your discussion!
Except for the Shelves Frames, Curtain and a couple of Chairs modified, was created using TurboCad.
All other objects not within the program like the Trusses, Fabric rolls - Rack, the Hangers in the shelving units and others "not in the Image" was using "Columns"
I have a folding fabric hanging ceiling for the reception- counter in the opposite side of the warehouse area, I made using "Walls" .
I created them as individual projects , then saved as 3D models then importing with wizard.
