Title: VRML
Post by: rrronski on December 16, 2014, 06:50:27 PM
I'm seeing that the 2015 pro version doesn't have a VRML option in it.  Is there a way to create them using alternative programs in conjunction with a dxf or dwg format?

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to export TFP 2015 files to VRML

Thank you Patricia.  That's disappointing.
I'm also finding that apparently in 2015 pro importing of sketchup items seems limited, as in unable to import them and resize them or put them in to the catalog.  I mean beyond plants, accessories, etc.
I see how you can add accessories but complex items like showers, sofa's etc aren't importing in a way that allows for resizing of the items in question.

Hi there,

The Sketchup items can be tricky, so it is better to convert  them first to 3DS format and then import them to TFP. 3DS items can be resized. Of course, you can add textures / colors to the imported items.
In addition, you can create items using the 3D Custom Workshop Power Tool

Ahh okay, that's a big help!  I'll look for a conversion program.  Thank you again Patricia!
