I am drawing a new house but I need to draw in the exact cabinets and granite counter tops my friend is taking from her old home so I am locked into this bay shape and dimensions. Since all I really need to do is provide the correct dimensions and configuration which I have already done - all I need to do is draw a reasonable facimile of her existing layout. The easiest thing would be to do a "run" of cabinets which means going around two 45 degree angles. I cant seem to do a "run" of cabinets at all, even on a straight wall. I have tried changing settings in drawing settings but no luck. I am wondering if there are some "bug fixes" that I need to download to make things work better?
The other thing that would be nice would be able to create a granite slab to match what she has. Again, just for looks and renders. In my old version 12 I believe there was a slab tool in "landscaping" that I borrowed to do this same sort of thing. I dont see that in this version? Any ideas?

Hi Randy,
There is no such thing in V16 as a "run" of cabinets - they are all "stand alone" but snap to each other if you have it on continual insert. Best to preset the cabinet that you are going to use by the width of the teo doors plus frame and just insert side by side.
The best way to get an odd shaped counter top is to turn off the automatic countertops on the cabinets and use a piece of Floor (by Picking Points). If you do this you can draw any shape and curve the sides and corners if you want, set the thickness and Right Click / Elevate into position. Just drag the edges to fit exactly. It will not cut a hole for the sink automatically - you will have to right click and select Cut Opening. Then the sink, (inserted in the cabinet below) won't have granite in the bowl!

I was pretty sure that that feature was no longer available. Wonder why they took that out? That and the Terrain Tools were better back in vs. 12.

The floor tool worked wonderfully. I also used it to fill in around the Jacuzzi Tub in the Master Bathroom.
