Hi i have a house drawn in 3D using Turbofloorplan 2015. I want to import this now into Turbocad so i can produce house plans. Can anyone advise best way to export the 3D model please? I can only find export functionality for 2D model or a 3D image which does not help as then i need to rebuild in Turbocad. Any advise much appreciated.
Hi there,
In order to create house plans in TurboCad (DWG or DXF format) you don't need to export the 3D model.
This is how I do this:
For the floorplans => use File => Export DXF / DWG
For the elevations => print the 2D elevations as PDF files => with a free program, export the PDF files to DWG / DXF files.

Many thanks for the reply Patricia. I will do this as i have no other alternative.
Hi Telboy,
You're welcome! :)
Two additional notes:
1 - If you have one *.PRO file and you wish to convert it to *.3DS or *.VRML, for example, I can do this for you (no fee). You can open these files using Turbocad and from there, you can develop your DWG / DXF plans. However, in my experience, it is not the best option, because the file exported is a 3D element so in order to generate a front elevation, for example, you need to delete the side and back elements, making a complicated process.
2 - If you are interested, I can develop the DWG / DXF plans for you (for a small fee). You can email me to punchhelpers (at) punchhelpers.com
