I'm a cabinetmaker and I am new to turbofloorplan 3d. I have a few questions,
When I place a cabinet along a wall and later I wish to remove it entirely how do I do that? If it's too late to select "undo"?
Where are the appliances?
Why doesn't the cabinet change size after I have changed it's properties?
Does the software always give me measurements to the middle of the cabinets? I don't need to know this, it's weird.
Thanks! any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there,
I will be glad to help, but I am not sure if I understand your question above. Can you clarify or post a screenshot of the problem?
Also, please can you confirm the name and version number of your program? (Help => About)
Patricia
It is turbofloorplan 3d home and landscape pro 2015 version 17
When I'm moving the cabinet along the wall it gives me a measurement from the wall to the center of the cabinet.
I don't know how to delete a cabinet once ive placed it. too late to click undo.
can't find appliances.
Hi there,
thank you for the version information. If you have V2015, then it is V17.5 but it is OK for the answers
Regarding your questions:

Answer: select the cabinet => use the Delete key in your keyboard

Where are the appliances?
Answer: appliances with cabinets => select the cabinet tool (outlined in red in the 1st image attached) => click on the Cabinet Style button (outlined in blue in the 1st image attached) => the menu will open => select the desired appliance / cabinet.
For appliances without cabinets => Go to the Furnishing library => 3D library => Kitchen => Appliances

Why doesn't the cabinet change size after I have changed it's properties?
Answer: I'd need more information to define the exact reason. The most common issues that prevent the modification of the dims are:
1 - There is not physical space for the modification (i.e. you can't insert a 3 ft cabinet on a 2ft wall)
2 - There are inconsistencies among the cabinet's elements (i.e. if the cabinet height is 30", the height of the door can't 36")
3 - Don't forget to press Enter after each modification so the change takes effect
If these are not the issues, try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc.

Does the software always give me measurements to the middle of the cabinets? I don't need to know this, it's weird.
Answer: I don't think that it is weird, because you can define the distance between the center of the cabinet with the center of a window, etc. But, of course, this is a matter of preferences. For this reason, there is another tool that will give you additional options: the ProjecTape => it is located on the left bar (outlined in blue in the 2nd image attached) => Drag and drop it to the desired spot (following the blue arrow in the 2nd image attached) => in the 2nd image attached, I placed it between the cabinet and the wall, but you can place it on the face of the cabinet, etc -> you will get the distance to the different points, move the points, rotate, etc. In addition, if you move the cabinet, the distances will be updated
A tip: if you wish to build a custom cabinet from scratch, remember that your program includes the 3D Custom Workshop: you can build any cabinet or other objects.
If you are interested all these issues are explained with tutorials and examples in my TFP e-Book (see link below).
Hope this helps,
Patricia
Thank you so much! very helpful! I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future as I am just learning this software.
You're welcome! :D

Hi Patricia!! As you might know the city approved the plan I created with this great program. We are in the process of water and sewer line installation. It laid out perfectly on the lot. Going a little slow but as soon as we get by the underground utilities we should really take off. I will take pics and show you progress. It is very cool that something created with TFP 2015 is becoming reality...
Hi Randy,
Looking forward to seeing the pictures! :D

Answer: When you select a cabinet, by clicking the cabinet button, the drop down menu will open => you will find different sections so you can customize each element (see attached). More about how to customize cabinets, add hardware, etc, at the pages 118 and 119 of the User Guide
Opening: use an empty casement

Answer: : not sure what do you mean? Try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc. If you can, show the issue with screenshots.

TFP, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to develop the different components.
