Title: problem with making floor opening over curved stairs
Post by: dsm on January 25, 2008, 01:27:49 PM
Hello,

I'm having a problem I hope someone can help me with.  I have a 2 story building with a curved staircase connecting them.  There is a curved opening in the floor of the 2nd story around the staircase.  I'm having trouble creating this opening in TFP.  I used the room division tool to draw the outline of the opening.  When I use the floor by room tool to floor the rest of the story, the floor fills up this area too. I can't select it to delete it.  Please take a look at the attachment to see what I'm talking about.  Thanks a lot for your help!

I have made only one cutout for a stairway thru the floor (no curves) but it was not too hard...

see help file, building a house, stairs, insert opening in floor (Cutting an Opening in an Automatic Floor)

Once the opening is defined you can select a line, right click, curve, drag the line to curve it like a wall
