When I use the paintbrush, I have to select a category and a finish from menus that appear in 2 windows on the right of the screen. Thereafter I can apply that texture to any surface; however, I'm accustomed to using paintbrush tools that can be 'loaded' by placing the cursor on a surface then clicking (left or right) then I can move the cursor to the next surface and left click to paint that surface like the one I loaded.
Am I using the software wrong, or is this the way that TFP's paintbrush works? If the former, please, someone, set me straight. If the latter, is there anyone besides me who like to see the paintbrush work the way I described?

There is an eyedropper tool on a tab next to the paintbrush in the selection window. If you select this you can pick a material off of your drawing. Go back to the paintbrush tab and you can start painting using the texture just selected. A hot key would be nice so the switching could be done on the fly.
I think there was a suggestion to put the Paintbrush and Dropper on a tool bar but having the Dropper on the right click and Paintbrush on the left would be ideal. I may put a suggestion in on that.

Anything on the menu with an underscore under a letter means it can be reached via keystrokes (the letter is the final key)
for example to get to the paintbrush tool easily...
hold down the "alt" key (until after last key) then press "e" and then press "m"
it should open the materials dialog with the paintbrush tool active...you can then click on the eyedropper tool at top of that menu (not the best GUI, thanks for the added suggestion to make it easier)
