Title: Dimensions in elevations
Post by: RexLan on January 12, 2016, 09:32:22 AM
If I take my model and go to the elevations I get the outlines.

If I click on tools my measure and dimension tool are all grayed out.

How can I put dimensions on my elevations ???

Hi  Rex.

You can't I'm afraid, that is the domain of the more expensive Envisioneer versions - but there is a workaround. What you have to do is export the elevation view as a DXF file and import it into a new project. Sizing will be correct and you can the use the dimensioning and drawing tools. Dimensions will snap to the DXF edges. Using  this method you can put two or more elevations on the one page if you want or place elevations on the  same page as the plan. Unfortunately you cannot remove any unwanted lines from the DXF, so it is important to get the elevation correct before you export it. You can add lines but not take them away!
