I just wanted to clarify, there is no way to change the existing molding heights in TFP? I feel like that was once an option in previous versions but it does not exist in this one, correct? For example, if I wanted 1'-6" crown molding, that would not be possible?
Thanks
Hi there,
You can create your own trims with customized dimensions using the 3D Custom Workshop Power Tool.

Thanks Patricia. Unfortunately, I have a mac and do not have that option :(
Hi there,
You're welcome! :)
You can use any 3D object (a beam, for example) and resize it => set the desired dimensions and elevation.

I see. I wish there was a way to automate that because there are so many details in the walls manually doing that would be very tedious. oy
Hi there,
You can try this workaround (you can follow the procedure with the images attached):
Step 1: draw your walls, rooms, etc.
Step 2: Go to the Detail tab (outlined in red in the images) => draw a line along the wall (pointed with the red arrow in the images) => select the line => Go to the Inspector => Convert to => Convert to the desired element. There are several useful components, but in my opinion, for trim purposes, you will get the best results converting the line to Edging (outlined in blue in the images)
Step 3: after the conversion, you can select among the different shapes (pointed with blue arrows in the images) => set the desired dimensions (outlined in magenta in the image) => texture as desired.
Step 4: if you are creating a crown molding, don't forget to set the desired elevation (outlined in yellow in the image # 2)
Hope this helps.

Thanks! That would be MUCH easier to do. So helpful!
Hi there,
You're welcome! :)
Glad to know that the workaround helped.
