I'm having trouble with adding a second story. I did it once before and it worked fine. But I changed my design & deleted the second story. Now I want to add the 2nd story again and I've tried everything I know & the second story does not show up. In 2D mode, when I go to second story, it does as it's supposed to, dims the 1st. story, it let me adds walls, etc, but then when I go to 3D it doesn't show up at all or either has placed all my 2nd story additions to the 1st. story. I just can't figure out why it worked great before and now I can't get it to work. Help!
I'd check the locations dialog box and check the levels information there...maybe 2nd floor is gone or maybe the levels/heights are the same as first floor or way out of view?
Try adding another new location with a different name for 2nd floor with correct heights..then put walls and see if in 3D.
If still no success, suggest posting the .bld file for others to investigate.
Ok, feel sooo stupid now. After I read you post, I thought, I've checked this a dz. times but I'll go check again. Uh, DUH!! The wall was set in inches instead of feet. Problem solved. Why I didn't notice this before, even when I tried resetting the wall height.

Sounds like a good reason to use metric! 1 mm or 2400 mm, the difference is immediately obvious. But of course, if the brain does not think in metric, then it is useless. Thankfully we converted when I was only about 12, (50 years ago!), so I was young enough to catch on. Yet, even after all that time, I still automatically transpose some things to feet and inches, so I can mentally visualise the size!
Hopefully your project will be plain sailing now!

I've felt that way many times using TFP (and you'll find some in old posts).....I guess that is how we learn sometimes and thankfully others here are willing to help so we all end up wiser for the next project.
The really hard part is separating mistakes from bugs....takes a lot of patience and testing/trial'n'error...and a little help from our friends.
