Title: Delete a misplaced door
Post by: hustlinghare on July 07, 2017, 01:34:43 PM
I'm a newbie and have been trying to bootstrap myself up by making a layout of a home that exists and then modifying it to show how I want to modify it.  In the process I've added things, including a couple of doors that I would like to now delete.  I can't figure out how.  I can select it so that it is highlighted but "cut" is inactive which is a way I've deleted other objects.  I couldn't find anything about deleting in the user's guide or tutorials....so help, please?

Hi there,

To delete TFP's components (like doors, windows, cabinets, etc.) => select the component => use the Delete key in your keyboard.

Hope this helps!  :)

Ok, that cleared that up.  I'm so into using the mouse for everything I keep forgetting the keyboard.  Use of the Del key also allowed me to clear up a couple of other problems I was about to write about.  Thanks

Hi there,

You're welcome! :)
TFP includes 2 types of elements: the objects (like a chair, for example) and the components (like windows, doors, etc.)
The components have special properties and they are attached to the walls. For these reasons, they can be deleted only with the Delete key in the keyboard.
If you are interested, there are several tutorials about this subject in my eBooks. See link below, in my signature.
