Anybody know how to insert windows in a garage door?

Sorry but I dont think that is possible without doing it in another CAD program. However all I would do is use a thinner wall in an opening.
If you would like to use the same door in future, then start a new model, draw a thin wall the height and length of the door, to represent the door itself, insert the windows you want and apply the colour/texture to any parts you may want in a different colour later. Then turn off the Terrain (Eye icon) and do a File / Export as a 3DS file. You can then import it and use it as a one piece door, with colours that can be reset to what you want and can be resized etc. The only problem is that it will not cut the hole in the wall for you - you will have to make a opening using the Openings tool and insert it into the opening.

I suppose with 3D graphics things are all just shapes - its just the texture that makes it look like something. So it is just a question of asking oneself what is a similar shape, or what things can I put with something else to make the shape - then apply the texture.

I have not done a garage door in TFP yet but FP11 had garage doors with windows....so as another approach you might export from FP11 if you have it and import it into TFP.
Or search www for a .3ds garage door model with windows
I just looked at TFP garage doors and you can add "lites" (selct, rt clk, properties, lites tab) which are windows on left or right sides and at top of door...adjustable sizes....might work for you?
