Title: Guide lines with snap-to-guide?
Post by: jhg on January 31, 2020, 07:42:33 PM
In most other graphic design programs (Photoshop, InDesign) you can place guide lines that you can use to align objects to a specific point.  Is there a similar functionality in TFP?

Hi there,

Yes, there is. Actually, in TFP, you have different resources:
1 - You can use the grid => 2D Menu => Grid properties => set the desired spacing.
2 - In the same menu, you can set the snap to grid feature.
3 - You can use the Laser Alignment as well as the Auto Snap => Edit => Preferences => Snap Settings.

Hope this helps.

Well, not quite what I had in mind but those features work, sort of.

As mentioned in another question, the snap-to functionality seems to have some quirks.
