I'm running TFP 2019 20.0.3.1019 on Windows. I just started a new design since I'm working on a new addition. I was able to a while ago import sketchup files from 3d warehouse on my old design, however, every new sketchup file I try will not import. I went back to my old sketchup files I downloaded and they look like they are 2016 version. 3D warehouse only goes back to 2017 on most of the files. Does IMSI plan to update the import filters so we can import latest versions of sketchup files? Also, I don't own sketchup so I can't load and save them to older version or 3ds.

I believe that the next version will include importing the new skp versions, but I don't know about the timeline.
Now, regarding your question => this is the issue => If you find a Sketchup model that you like and you just click on the "Download" button, by default, it will be downloaded as Version 2019 / 2020. However, on the right side of the "Download" button there is a small white arrow => by clicking on the arrow => a drop down will open => you can select the different versions => Version 2017 or previous versions are available for all the Sketchup objects in the 3D Warehouse website. So, you can download and import any object.
An additional tip: If you prefer to change the version number of an object, you can download the Sketchup program V17 (it is free) or current versions, (also free as online software) => just open the object => Save as => select the version => proceed to import the object to TFP.

Cool to hear they are still working on the product. Thanks for the tip on drilling down on the object and then selecting the download drop down. This will allow you to go back to 2014. The issue I've found is the 2014 models don't render very well when imported, and 2017 don't work. The one workaround I've found is that I use the free version of sketchup (web version - others have a cost). I find the object and open it and click on the folder icon | Export | 3ds | Uncheck Export Texture Maps, and this allows you to import.
Thanks for the suggestion of using Sketchup desktop program. The website indicates it is not free but I found a link to older versions -
https://help.sketchup.com/en/downloading-older-versions . What I found with testing is that at least on my objects the 3ds export looks much better than saving in 2016 Sketchup format.

Yes, Sketchup 2017 was the last free desktop app, but they have a new free version that works in a "cloud" system.
As matter of fact, if I need to import an object to TFP, I prefer 3DS and not Sketchup objects, for several reasons. The most important motive is the fact that 3DS objects can be opened with the 3D Custom Workshop Power Tool and you can change them or save them to your user library.
Frequently, when you import a heavy (in Mb) object, they have problem with the number of polygons. I'd recommend that you check this free tutorial (http://www.punchhelpers.com/3ds-files.html) in my website.
