Hi folks!
I'm a brand new user and just muddling my way through.
I've noticed that auto-dimensions seem to default to the external parts of the walls (ie - including wall width of the rooms). Is there a way to change that to internal dimensions instead? I could do it all manually of course but that's a bit tedious if it can be avoided...
Thanks!
Chris
Hi there,
Assuming you are using FP 2020 for Windows => Go to Design => Options => Dimensioning and Fonts => Select the desired settings.
Note that the exterior dimensions for the walls in the perimeter are always surface to surface.
If you have another program / version, let me know.
FloorPlan, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to manage the different components and settings.

Hope this helps.
