Hello,
My issue is when you use the Smartwand tool in Floorplan you are limited to where materials can be applied. When placing tile from the material library onto a wall, it covers the whole wall floor to ceiling. I have not found a way to designate a height or width in a specific area.
Using the Wainscot option in trims only allows you to place a material on the size of the wainscot and I have not found a way to adjust their size or placement. I finally opened the 3D Custom Workshop and created a 3D panel ( 6' x 5'- 1/8" thick), applied tile to its face and saved it to My Library. Went back into my drawing and placed it against the wall. That worked with some fine tuning. Still all of that seems to be complicated just to place some tiles on the wall. Any suggestions for an easier way will be appreciated!!!!!
Thanks...Mpl.
Hi there,
There are a couple of resources:
1 - The wainscot that you used can be applied on the base of the wall (Base Trim) or on the top of the wall (Crown Trim). In this way you can create several options.
2 - You can also stack two or more walls and apply different textures.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!!! I will give those a try.
You're welcome! 8)
