Title: Settings won't save
Post by: dkb194 on February 16, 2008, 10:04:16 AM
I have turned off autosave and then unclicked the two startup buttons for template and wizard in general settings, applied and OK'd them and then turned on commander and turned off tips in workspace applied and OK'd and then exited only to have them all reset when I open TFP the next time. Why aren't my resets of the defaults being kept? I have the program on my laptop as well and the changes are saved.

Are they both the same operating system?  Just curious because I have the same issue - on my laptop (Win 2000) it saves my settings but on my desktop (Win XP) it doesn't.  Quite frustrating - on the surface the operating system appears to be the only difference.  Maybe one of the PC experts can suggest something.

I sent this to Imsi but no reply. Still no one has an answer. I had the Trial running as well as a trial of Envisioneer.

Unfortunately there has never been hardly anything from IMSI Design for feedback or help....which will cost them plenty of sales.

Also no indication of any bug fixes on the way someday...another bad sign.

Previous versions of FP had similar extremely poor response from seller/developer...not even acknowledging we exist or they care.

CADSoft, parent of TFP, at least provides feedback and problem solving via email and bug fixes.

Doung,

I agree, feedback is bad. Started off good but...

There was an isolated post some weeks (months) back now, that some of the lighting issues had been solved and a patch would be coming. I know from other sources that they are still working on other things we have identified but some official feedback would be nice.

I've heard nothing more on this.  My laptop will keep the settings but not the desktop.  It is obviously PC related somehow.
