Hi,
Is the new FloorPlan 2022 with the new render engine LuxCore compatible with FloorPlan 2020 drawings concerning materials geometry and lighting? I am thinking it would be a lot of work to change 2020 lightwork materials to 2022 LuxCore materials and lighting, is this correct?
I see FloorPlan 2022 is also available with Lightworks so I would think that FloorPlan 2020 drawings would be 100% compatible in all aspects with Floorplan 2022, is this correct?
Can I run FloorPlan 2020 and 2022 on the same computer, meaning would there be any conflict?
Thanks.
Hi there,
Just to clarify and confirm => are you asking about FloorPlan Pro V2022, FP Deluxe V2022 or FP Instant Architect V2022?
Hi Patricia,
FloorPlan Pro 2022
Thanks.
Hi there,
You FP Pro V2020 file will open with FP V2022 without problems. The geometry, dimensions, materials and colors will be exactly the same.
Now, regarding the rendering process: as you know, in the Pro versions, there are 2 rendering modes: 3D Rendering and Photorealistic Rendering. For V2022 and FP 2020, the 3D Rendering feature works in the same way for both versions.
The FP Pro V2022 Photorealistic Rendering engine is LuxCore and includes additional options regarding exterior lights, reflections, glass, rendering time, etc. You can see some images / effects in the eBook's page (https://www.punchhelpers.com/version-2022-windows.html) in my website.
If you wish, contact IMSI and ask for a Demo version.
Hope this helps.
Ok, thanks Patricia.
Also, I have a few of your Collections which I purchased from you.
I am hoping these will still work in TFP pro 2022,any advice?
Hi there,
Yes, all my collections work with FP V2022.
As FP 2022 includes a new Rail feature, I have a new collection called Rail Elements (https://www.punchhelpers.com/collection-9.html) that includes more than 230 options that can be used for exterior and interior decks, mezzanines, stairs, etc.
Hope this helps.
