Title: Difficulty with Smart Wand re-painting surfaces when a V2017 floorplan file open
Post by: JOD on May 31, 2023, 04:00:45 PM
Hi Patricia- I recently purchased TFP-PRO V2022 up-grade to replace my older TFP-PRO V2017 program.  When I open a  floorplan made with V2017 using the V2022 program and try to re-paint an existing wall with a new color, the program hesitates (usually about 10 to 15 seconds) and then does give me a choice box of where I want to re-paint.  However, I click the choice (I.e "here only") and nothing happens.  This same issue happens when I try to change a  material in that menu also.  Am I doing something wrong, or is there a possible glitch in the program? Should I contact "technical support" direct? I was told by Mr. Phinney that the 2 programs were completely compatible and I would have no problems "bringing the 2017 floorplans into V2022.  Thanks for any help you can offer.  I have learned a considerable amount from the Forum in the past.

Hi there,

Try these resources:
1 - Go to => Edit => Preferences => System => Graphics => Hardware Acceleration. By default, the level of the accelerations is "Full" => Move the control to the center and see if your issue is solved. If not, move the control to the left (None) => check if your issue is solved.
2 - Always important => update all the drivers of your computer.

Hope this helps.
