Ready to try a print job. I have saved my floor plans and 3D views in Arch size D thru the Sheet Layout feature.
The local print shop can print the plans but needs them in PDF format. My computer only offers the Print option of "Microsoft PDF" which is smaller than the size Arch D (24x36). Do you have a work around or can you suggest an add-on program that will allow a PDF to be saved in the Arch D size? Would like to avoid paying the Adobe Acrobat PRO app that wants either $538.00 for a one time download or $29.99/ month fee forever and ever. Sorry for the sarcasm. Still working on that. Thank you for your help!

Hi there,
In a computer, the physical or PDF printers' paper sizes are defined by the printers' programs and they are not related with FloorPlan.
There dozens of free PDF programs: just search online "Free PDF programs".

I am going to call a tech person and see if they can look at some things to get me into printing the Arch D size. Thanks for your help and will advise what I find out after he looks at my issue..

If you don't find a free program, perhaps you can add custom paper sizes to your Microsoft Print to PDF program.
Also, you can try this feature (https://www.adobe.com/ca/acrobat/online/pdf-editor.html) (it is free).
Or, in the meantime, you can download a free demo of a PDF program.

My computer tech is not available for 2 weeks so no current help there. I looked at several Free PDF Programs but none list saving the PDF in an Arch D or slightly smaller A1 (22x34) size. I looked at several PDF Programs for under $100 but none list creating a PDF to Print in either of those sizes. The various options featured in the programs are changing the text, adding notes, signatures, etc. Nothing about saving the PDF to the larger size paper formats.
Without endorsing any program, can you suggest one that will print to PDF in size Arch D? I'm willing to pay up to $100 for a program that will do what I need.

The programs don't save as PDF => they print to PDF.

Well.... we bit the bullet and downloaded the Free (for 7 days) Adobe Acrobat PRO program and have gotten it to print a ANSI sz D to PDF format that can be routed thru our older computer that talks to our older hp500 plotter/ printer.
Floor Plans and Elevations are printing very nicely, however, when I try to print a 3D version of a perspective of the front of the house for a cover sheet, after saving to the PDF format, when I open the PDF, there seems to be a grey "screen" hanging over the entire image. This grey "screen" shows in the preview and then also prints out on the 3D image. Any idea how to get rid of this issue? I have tried to attach a screen shot of the image. Let me know if you can see what I am referring to.

Hi there,
In your image, the grey area is showing the paper, so your 3D rendering is placed in the center of the paper.
You can stretch the 3D image to fit the paper, however, notice that this will affect the quality of the image.

I have attached a PDF of the various Elevations and there is white paper outside, and in some cases, in between the individual images generated by the program. Yet, when printed to a PDF, the PDF page shows and prints out white where the extra paper is, as I believe it should.
Since the grey "cast" is over the 3D image as well as the white paper areas outside the image boundaries, to my thinking, it's like I'm missing a step that I should do after the 3D image is brought into the PDF program to go on to the printing stage. The PDF program does not show this grey printable area with the 2D floorplan and elevation images.

You can set the page and image using the Sheet Layout View and print to PDF from there.

I think I found the problem. The Print to PDF dpi default was set at 1200dpi. I reset it to 300dpi and the grey cast over the PDF image disappeared when set.
