I searched to no avail, but realize there is probably a simple answer. I am designing a one-story house with a basement and an attached garage with no basement but a second story. Its basically two rectangles partially sharing a common wall in and L shape. How do I add a second story to the garage part? I've tried to add a floor to that part by duplicating its outline on terrain, hoping to elevate it and move it over the garage 4 walls, but that isnt working.
Thanks for any help
On the main tool bar you will see Ground Floor in a drop-down list. A Second Floor location should already be there in the list. Just select that and draw your floor there. You can add more under Settings/Locations.

I would think it would be easiest to use only the 3 locations (basement, first floor, second floor) rather than trying to make separate locations on the same level for the first floor and the garage attached to it sharing (overlapped) 2 walls in common.
You can have a first floor over a basement that is under only part of the first floor.
But sometimes multiple locations for the same level, such as the first floor, resolve some drawing construction limitations in TFP....often regarding roofs at two levels. Search this forum for tips on "location" choices and problem solving.
