Just started.
when i print a plan the dimensions are not quite readable.
how do i enlarge/bolden the dimension text?
i would also like it to print the whole plan bigger on a page.
turbofloorplan ver 12 on windows XP
Printing 2D floorplan from TFP is probably one of programs weakest abilities
I normally "print to .pdf" using a free pdf printer program from www such as PDFCreator at sourceforge.net....but only do that on rare occasions as I use Visio as my 2D plan generator and use TFP for easy 3D by tracing Visio view in TFP 2D
I do think you can change the text font and size from menu/program settings
You will need to experiment
Suggest you search this forum for "print" and you will find more help/tips etc.
thanks
Changing text size is one of those double-click situations - just keep double clicking - on the lines or the text - you can change style, colour of lines, size of text, almost everthing, but it is buried deep in the double clicks!!!

oh i wish that were true- but no, dimension styles - is all you get -and that is just how the line ends are.
if you know better - show us!
dbl click on a placed dimension
in bottom part of window that opens, dbl click
new window has settings adjustments
see image below
Anytime you think you want to change something click or dbl click on it and on next windows to dig deeper into the program....often you will find new dialog windows that way.
For example click on text tab, text style, then click at bottom of that screen to change the font and/or its color...then OK your way back several levels deep
sorry i am kinda slow - but now i get it!
i was looking for font size, bold etc - but that is not there!
but i selected something else and the text is bigger.
update!! i just clicked yet again and got the font size etc box
thanks very much. now if you know about the walk around - see the latest postings

photoshop elements can make pdfs - would that work?
it might work but I doubt it.....that kind of program needs an image to start with.
But the pdf "printers" get their image by intercepting the running application as it puts an image on the window desktop screen and uses the code, not the screen image, to generate a pdf file.....so for example if you are looking at a vector file image on screen its a bitmap on the screen but the data is vector and a pdf printer will generate a vector output format...so zoom in does not pixelate.
Of course a bitmap image on screen will print to pdf as a bit map but it is not limited by screen resolution of typically 72 to 120 ppi....it is set by output setup such as 600 dpi....but remember ppi and dpi are not the same...dpi depends on paper size which is selectable....where ppi depends on screen physical size which is fixed by your h/w (and screen s/w setup) .
i didn't know that
again- your help is very much appreiated.
