I've tried to search using different criteria, but can't see any queries before.
I have three locations, basement, ground floor, and garage. We've decided to flip the plan over, but I can't find an efficient way of doing this.
I can select each locations elements and use the mirror tool which works perfect for one location......it flips the plan over, then I can delete the original location & move the new flipped location over.
The problem is, I don't see any way to mirror with any precision. After mirroring say the basement, I cannot mirror the ground floor to the exact place that I mirrored the basement. I've tried drawing a vertical line on the plan, and using that line as the place where I "pick my first and second points", but I still end up with minor differences in the ground floor and basement walls.
Any suggestions?
Mike
Mike,
I don't think there is any way to align vertically as such but if you select everthing on the location, select Mirror and move the mouse to the edge of building and click anywhere along that edge wall (you get a little circle with a coss in it on the cursor) it should then flip around so that that wall stays in the smae place but the other way around and the rest of the building is on the other side of the flipped wall. Do the other locations the same way and they end up aligned (as long as your original ones were or course!).
The only way I know to effect a vertical alignment otherwise, is to set the Nudge to 1 mm (or fraction of inch) and use the arrow keys to align the walls with the other locations by zooming in really close on a corner.
