Title: Stairs wih open risers?
Post by: gsour on April 11, 2008, 09:49:34 AM
By this I mean see-through, or no material, for risers, which is a common occurence with a metal frame. See attached picture, from FP, which is close to the reality of my building.

In FP I had the option, but it seems to have disappeared in TFP

SOLVED!
there is a property called Show Riser which is selected by default. You just have to unselect it.
I will keep this msg here since it might help someone like me.

If you are just getting started in TFP then get into the habit of double-clicking things in dialog boxes - you will be surprised what opens up.  Some of it is buried too deep really but useful once you find it. Generally it is much more flexible that FP.  Still some issues with photorealstic rendering though, so we are eagerly awaiting a promised patch. It renders well, arguably better than FP, but needs lots of experimenting to get the settings right.
