traces of furnitures, bathtub, etc that i placed on the 2nd floor can be seen on the ground floor and foundation.  how can you remove them?

Hi, Welcome to the Forum!

Is the furniture still in the model on the other floors?  If so then it will appear 'greyed out' as you are seeing.  you can use the View Filter (Eye Icon) to hide them, but you must turn them on again if you move to that floor otherwise you will not see them on those floors either. You can set how dark the shaded floors are in Settings/Program Settings/Workspace tab / Location Dimming.

elements in vivid green or blue cannot be greyed out even at max 95% dimming.  why cannot max dimming be 100%?

The idea of the dimming is so you can use other locations for tracing or positioning things on the floor you are working on.  If you do not want to see them at all then you will have to use the View Filter.  However, 100% dimming may be a practical idea.  Why not put an entry in the Feature Requests section of the Forum and if may come in a future version of there are no technical things preventing it.
