Title: How to move your drawing on the terrain
Post by: Kajvin - Robert W on August 09, 2008, 01:58:09 AM
I don't know if any of you have found out how to move all floors at the same time I found out today and it was so simple.

In settings: Building Aids under Drawing Assistance.

Unchecked this     "Select elements on current location only while in plan view".

Now you can move, rotate and, duplicate, the complet building whit all floors at the same time whit all items,

,don't forget to check it again after you move your building.

Thanks for posting that!  I have noticed the option before but never thought about using it for this purpose - not that I move things much but it is great to know that it is so easy to do!  Now I might move things more often !!

Seems like it would be useful too when moving items to align on one floor to another....set "dim" to a low number like "0" to see all floors at same time in 2D floorplan view, uncheck as suggested, and you can move anything on any floor...and don't have to jump back and forth selecting floor from the drop-down list box.

Good idea!!

But I agree it can be a dangerous setting to leave unchecked all the time as accidental moves will happen too.
