Title: Designing a barrel roof

Hi all,

I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction for designing a barrel style roof (curved front to back but flat on both ends).

I've tried playing with the custom roof elements but can only seem to get a conical style effect.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the Forum!

What you are trying to do should be fairly straight forward and it sounds as though you are almost there. I assume you selected Curved Roof. In 2D plan, click the roof and click the 4 arrows so the the two end ones, that should be vertical, are green and the other 2 are red. Right click and in Properties on the Basic tag click Roof Style and choose Gable. That should make the 2 ends vertical and the other two curved giving you what you wanted.
