Title: Getting Rid of an Annoying Reminder Screen
Post by: ahr8tch on October 07, 2007, 04:52:51 PM
Every time I open TFP, the message shown in the attached jpg shows up.

I haven't figured out how to stop it appearing.  I don't have to make any settings changes and just click OK and my screens appear fine.

Can anyone tell me how to stop it appearing?  And while we're at it, can the splash screen that displays while loading proceeds be stopped?

TIA

I think what the message is saying is that you must have your PC set to Large fonts and, that if you leave it that way, TFP will  work OK but will not display fonts correctly. To stop the message you would presumably have to change the PC to a smaller font or up the DPI to 96.  If you did either presumably the popup would stop. I have searched the settings and can't see a 'turn-off' for the splash screen - you may have to put up with that one.

My DPI was set to 120.  I changed it to 96.  Now these old eyes are straining.  Guess I'll learn to live with the splash, but I wish it had a "Do not show this message again" switch.
