Recently I wanted to remove TurboFP, messed up some things & wanted a clean reinstall. So, I went to Control Panel and did an Unintall on TurboFP & powered down. After the PC came up I used the original CD to reinstall TurboFP, but after it installed and came up, a dialog box came up saying it couldn't run because a newer version had been installed and I had to go to CadCourse to get an update? Now I'm wondering, if I wanted to run the original version, how do I totally uninstall everything to do with the newer TurboFP?

Sorry but I am not a techo so will leave the proper reply to someone who is. However, is your question just academic or do you want to install an older version? If you did I was just wondering why as the update fixes a number of issues?
There is a link to the update t the bottom of the Forum. i would imagine it would just install anyway and would them allow the re- installed orgincl to run anyway. Just guessing but seems logical to me.

Thanks for responding. The reason I wanted to "start over" was there were some things happening that I didn't know if I caused or not. For instance after installing the latest update, I started a new drawing and saved it. When I opened it the next day, my default 3D cameras were gone, and just "Add a new camera" was there. So I wondered, did I inadvertently do something wrong or was it the update? And if it was me, I sure didn't want to do it again; therefore start over and try to find out.
I have since discovered that the dialog box saying a latter version was installed seems to be related to the operating system of the PC. For Christmas, Santa brought me a laptop and it came with Vista Home Premium. My desk top is running Windows 2000. The laptop is the one that hollered about a latter version of TFP being installed and it didn't want to go backwards; the desk top doesn't care, it lets me uninstall & install whatever I want. So, I'm still investigating....

I had a vague idea that someone else had reported loss of the camers when applying the update and found it in the Search (http://forum.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,624.0.html (http://forum.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,624.0.html)). It obviously has not happened with the majority of users, so it would appear it may occur depending on something on the PC during the update or with certain operating systems. The previous users' experience may indicate that it was not something that you caused (unless you both did the same thing of course!).

I has "lost" cameras before but found it was specific to the .bld file...perhaps accidently deleting the default cameras......but start a new file and they show up (tho still gone in the older other .bld file)
So its not a program problem but a .bld file issue per my experiences. A reinstall may look like it fixes the problem till you open the old broken file. But the solution is simple...insert 2 new cameras and name them the default names and no one will know.
