Howdy.
I didnt really find what I was looking for in "search" so maybe someone has an idea. I want to put 6"x8" exposed timber beams @ 4' centers in my plan. They need to match the pitch of the roof at 20
Hi Randy,
Under Interior Accessories you should have a Decorative Member and you can change the X Y Z cordinates to angle the beam as in the image below.
TFP is much more flexible than FP3D when it comes to making up your own objects. If you search the forum for Useful Shapes you will find all sorts of shapes you can import as 3DS objects to put together to make things. You can also use a piece of floor and cut out (right click) all manner of shapes to make things. (Search on Gothic Arch as an example). Objects you have put together (use the Nudge - arrow keys to move things together precisely) can be exported as a 3DS (TURN OFF THE TERRAIN) and imported as new objects. Set the colours beforehand for any parts of an object you may later want to be different colours or textures and you can do that after import.
You can also use the Layout toolbar to draw objects then covert them to walls for example. Set the height, save as 3DS, export and import and set the orientation and size and... a "wagon wheel" for example. It was done that way in just a few minutes just to illustrate the point. No way you could do things like that and so quickly in FP3D. Of course I could have added a hub, duplicated the wheel, added an axle, duplicated the two wheels and axle, added a tray and made a cart. That would take a few more minutes but not many. The horse would be different matter - maybe a Google search for a 3DS horse would fix that (!) or just use one of the photoboards. Might try that sometime.
It is a very clever program and limited only by ones imagination I think.

Wow! I had no idea. This should be all kinds of fun! Thanks again, Allen.
