Title: subfloor
Post by: mcg on April 29, 2009, 03:10:22 PM
When I do a price estimate, I see sub floor material listed. I can't see where I can specify what that material is and it's price. If I look at the floor, it shows the framing, but not the subfloor material.

Of course I can choose the actual flooring material as well. Wha tI'm talking about is the sub-floor element that it automatically is putting in the materials list.

just clarifying my earlier post.

also I'm using ver 14

Do you actually have anything 'subfloor'? If so, what is it? If not I would just ignore it and delete the row from the spreadsheet when you export it.

Hi alan,

I like the fact that fppro is "smart enough" to include the plywood subfloor material in the price estimate. I would just like to be able to select the type of material like I can for most other things. It's no big deal, I'm just the kind of guy who likes to figure things out. My goals for using fp are getting reasonable price estimates for different additions to my weekend cabin (sort of a what if). Plus it really helps me with picturing the different roof lines possibilities.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

99 % of home construction here is double brick on a concrete slab so the only thing under the floor is a vinyl sheet (and termite treatment!)

No, I cant see any way to set this but you could do it in the exported spreadsheet.
