First thanks in advance for any help. I am mainly concerned about the landscaping part of the package of Home & Landscape PRo 12.
1) Is there anything that explains the different tabs in the plant encyclopedia? The User guide is not very helpful.
2) I wanted to import a picture of my house and all I get is a little line that if I click on it it shows the picture. How do I get it to be full front?
3) I was looking for a generic boxwood in the encyclopedia and could not find it. Is that possible? How ridiculous is it that in 7500 plants there is no boxwood listed?!

Welcome to the forum.
Re your questions:
1. I think that most of the plant encyclopedia is actually unrelated to the program and is just for gardening information. TFP just uses it for the plant images, so I only every use that tab. Obviously plant diseases, planting times etc are unrelated to the software which is probably why they do not refer to it much.
2. How are you looking at your imported image? It will only appear as a line in 2D Plan view but in 3D you should be able to move the camera around to face it and see the image that way. (I assume you imported it through the Photoboard Import). Are you trying to landscape a photo as the in images in the Gallery? (http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,771.0.html (http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,771.0.html)) If so you need to make the image very big. Click on it and change the width of the image to the same as the width of your house.
3. Re the Boxwood - possibly it is under some other name. Try a Google search for Boxwood and you may find the Latin name, then switch the Encyclopedia to Latin and look for that instead. Personally I have not heard of a Boxwood, but I live in Australia so maybe they do not grow well here. You can take you own plant photos and use those too but you have to 'cut them out'. If you are interested in doing that ask again and I will explain.

if you can't photo a plant to insert it, search www for Google "images" and you may find a photo there to use.
web also has true 3D (like .3ds) files to use in TFP but they are much larger files and slow TFP if you use several...but render better and are easier to see in 2D
Also if you have a paper book of plant pics, you can scan an image to use (use "magenta" color to get transparency and use .bmp NOT .jpg)......but imported plants do not have as much automatic capability as plants that come with TFP.
You could write to IMSI to suggest a list of plants to add...they have not updated the plant library in years and often I must fake a substitute as a "looks like".
You can also use a "box" or "cube" and apply an image to its surfaces to "fake" a plant, but unless you use transparent, it looks kinda crappy....but fast/easy for initial drafts or substitutes until you find a good solution or before your final render.
You can insert more than one TFP catalog plant in the same place in 3D to make a plant look "fuller" or to change its appearance...including mixing 2 plants to get something more like the plant you really want but is not in the catalog.
