I made two projects using my original Diamond 2600XT vid-card, then upgraded to a visiontek Radeon HD4670 vid-card & now my projects are showing as wire-frame. If i go in & turn off the "V-card accelerator" it shows in 3-d like it used to, but then its Super slow (walking thru). How can i set the new vid-card to work as the old one did?
I upgraded to the new card which has 1 gig mem as i thought i need more space to make everything run smoother but its just as slow as the old v-card was (??)

I'm not much good on technical issues but your comment about turning off the "V-card accelerator" sounds as though you have reduced the acceleration on the video card itself.  Try putting that back to normal and turn off Hardware Acceleration in TURBOfloorplan itself instead.  You will find this under Settings/Program Settings/Graphics. It may have the same effect but at least with this option you can turn it on and off fairly easily without affecting other programs. You may find you can have it on for different parts of the program as it can affect different things on different computers.

You did not say how much RAM you had on the PC itself. Some have reported that it runs very quickly with 4GB RAM although I have only 1GB on my desktop which had an Nvidia card and it does better than it does on the laptop which has 2GB RAM and a Radion card. Both are fine with Hardware Acceleration on.

Even tho you installed a new vid card, be sure to check the vid card manufacturer and vid card s/w supplier sites to download the newest driver s/w as often the s/w supplied with even a new vid card purchase is not the latest ver. s/w.  Their web site is probably listed in the paperwork/instructions.

You can also test the vid card for support level...like OpenGL 1.5 etc. using a free test s/w from the web;
at "real tech VR" (or similar name, search www/Google; think its listed in this forum or old FP3D forum...if can't find it, reply and I'll search for it...runs a test for a few minutes and reports your vid card abilities)

You can also adjust some vid card settings using vid card s/w to make it work better for some programs....but may make it worse for other apps....does it work OK/better than old for any other programs?

Also check that you have newer version of any other s/w screen drivers. And do you use games? Often game cards are not as forgiving with 3D draw apps.

Vid cards seem to be more of an "art" than a "science", despite their pure technical nature.

Also search your specific vid card forum as others may have found issues and fixes.....as well as your vid card tech support which is usually free for 90 days/install issues.
