Hi Robert,
Interesting 'ceiling' and it rendered beautifully - very effective with the lights above. I wouldn't like to keep it free of spider webs though!!
Converting layout items to members works well doesn't it? Using the layout tools and cutting out shapes in a piece of floor or one of the new Surfaces, means you can create almost anything.

Yes layout tool works very well with members, the only bad is that you only can use rectangel and line then you convert to members.

Thats true but at least it is better than what we had before. You can of course convert a curve to walls or something like that and just change the texture to wood or steel to get a similar effect (for some things). That what I did for the Wagon Wheel in this post http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,793.0.html (http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,793.0.html)
Converting Lines to Members is very effective for adding roof guttering - see the post under Tips and Tricks http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,867.0.html (http://forums.turbofloorplan.com/index.php/topic,867.0.html)
