I just got Turbocad with TurboFloorPlan from a friend, he was never able to use it. I installed TurboFloorPlan and am wondering about the extra dvd - 1001 Home Plans. It's just ridiculous to have to open every single one of the 1001 plans to see what the layout looks like. Is there a way to see previews or thumbnails of the plans?

Oh, I should mention this is an older version - v7.0.288
Hi,
Good job you mentioned v7. V7 will be the previous FloorPlan (incompatible with TurboFloorPlan), and the DVD is actually a CD! (CD2)
If you autorun the CD, you should get a menu, where you can select 'Browse 1,001 FloorPlans', which will lead to a page of instructions. You can then select a Style which will give a list of thumbnails of the houses (click on thumbnail for bigger picture), and basic details, but no thumbnails of Plans - so unfortunately you will have to note the number, and open in FloorPlan. (I checked my CD are there are no hidden plan thumbnails)
(The FloorPlan Forum used to have a link that allowed you to narrow the search, but this has long since been removed)
Note the plans are only basic anyway - walls, doors, windows - no roofs, dormers, pillars, and other embellishments seen in the house picture. So after checking a few you might not want to bother with the 1,001 anyway!
There is a still a FloorPlan Forum (http://forums.imsisoft.com/forums/Main.cfm?CFApp=232) for the older versions, so if you get v7 running, it would be better to post questions there, to avoid confusion with current versions here.
Thanks for the info. I popped the cd in again and there is no autorun, no index, nothing but 1029 .bmf files. Oh well. I have designed my own house using a U shape, but was curious at other designs done by 'professionals'. I did open a couple of the files on the cd in the app and the fact that they are very basic is okay. I was just curious if there is any plan(s) for a U-shaped house.
Thanks again,
Chip
